Learning Resources

The primary responsibility of the Learning Resources Program is to support and assist students in meeting the curriculum expectations of Crofton House School. The school recognizes that each person has a unique style of learning; through the teaching of strategies or by engaging different learning modalities, students strive to reach their potential.

Learning resources recommends appropriate materials necessary for student learning. A referral is initiated by the student's teacher and is communicated to the parents. All girls benefit from learning resources because help is provided in the classroom, in small groups, and on an individual out-of-classroom basis when necessary. Learning resources is a place where girls are encouraged to take risks in their learning, learn and practice strategies necessary to move on to the next level of learning, and feel confident in how they learn.
