DescriptionGoh Ballet is proud to present a comprehensive Classical Ballet program. Students will learn the art of dance by building their creativity, artistic expression, music appreciation, self-confidence, and body awareness. Classes will be conducted by a member of the Goh Ballet Academy faculty with the distinguished Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) certification. In conjunction with the academic studies, students will receive mental and physical nourishment essential towards the further development of their young bodies and minds. During the school year, students will have the opportunity to showcase their achievements and hard work for friends and families. Uniform is included as a part of tuition and additional purchases are through Goh Ballet.

Registration for Goh Ballet happens in Term 1 only. No refund for withdrawal accomodated after attending second class (September 29, 2016).

DescriptionMake your own clay characters come to life, just like Shaun the Sheep! Participants will work with a partner to build their own clay characters, sets and props; develop their own script; shoot their movie scenes; and then learn to edit and add voices and sounds to complete the whole project.

DescriptionCarolyn Lundie, owner of YogaButtons Kids Yoga Ltd. has delighted in learning and growing with her students as a public school teacher for the past 15 years in the elementary public school system. As the mother and school teacher, she experienced the benefits of sharing yoga with kids at home and in the educational setting. Carolyn opened YogaButtons Kids Yoga Studio in Kitsilano in September 2012.

Learn to move and stretch your bodies safely while exploring yoga. Students will be introduced to traditional yoga poses, inspired by animals and nature. Yoga poses and breathing exercises are combined to promote relaxation and develop fitness skills. Classes will follow a flowing sequence, specifically promoting balance, concentration, flexibility and strength. Classes aim to give students the tools to take these techniques from the mat to their daily lives. YogaButtons classes will develop your daughter’s mental, physical and emotional wellness, nurturing the skills to live life with ease and develop self-confidence. 

DolphinKIDS: Future-Ready Leaders

DescriptionDolphinKIDS: Future-Ready Leaders TM (founded by Dr. Shimi Kang) utilizes the latest neuro-scientific methods for leadership, innovation, and wellness to help youth better navigate the ever-changing waters of our fast-paced, ultracompetitive, globally diverse, and socially connected modern world. Through our research based activities, students will cultivate the top six critical life-skills that make lasting success E.A.S.I.E.R. -Emotional Wellness, Adaptability, Social Leadership, Innovation, Ethics, and Resiliency. Each lesson will combine 1) Play via art, technology, and drama, 2) Others (social connection) via teamwork, role play, and public speaking, and 3) Downtime via attention/ focus training, mindfulness, and cultivation of positive mental habits such as grit, gratitude, and optimism. Fees include art materials, gratitude journal, and treasure chest of wellness tools.

Lesson plans and projects change from term to term to ensure that there is no repetition for students.
