What's happening at CHS
The alumnae program, led by the Crofton House Advancement team in partnership with the Alumnae Association, provides opportunities to create and strengthen meaningful connections between each alumna and the Crofton House community.
Meet Morgan Pulkinen, Manager, Alumnae Relations
Over the past few months, you have already heard from Morgan via email or phone. Read more about her role and her experience so far connecting with the CHS alumnae community.
We are all in this together!
I hope this message finds you well, that you are in good health and are keeping both yourself and your loved ones safe in these unprecedented times.
I wanted to reach out specifically to alumnae to let you know how Crofton House is responding to the challenges we are facing.
Our first priority continues to be the wellbeing of our girls, their families and our faculty.
Although we are not physically behind the beloved ivy walls on 41st Avenue there has been an incredible common effort to provide our students with continuous learning opportunities and most importantly keep them connected. Virtual classrooms were introduced this week, which allows Crofton House girls to continue learning in remote environments. Our aim is to provide an experience that engages students, one in which they have the confidence to apply themselves in unfamiliar circumstances while also giving them the structure and purpose to move forward with their learning program during this closure.
As alumnae, now more than ever we need to stay connected too. Our new platform, Crofton Connect, allows for groups of alumnae to come together to share experiences and to connect with other alumnae in similar professional fields or who are in your area.
Share your stories, post pictures, give a shout out to an alumna who is making a difference in the lives of others. Let us know if you are a health care worker, part of the world’s team of heroes in providing essential services – we want to know! If you are outside of BC or Canada let us know what your community is experiencing. Positive stories, good news, creative ways to survive isolation – this is the time that we can all virtually support each other. If you have it, wear some CHS swag or simply #CHSAlumnaeStrong or #CHSConnects your post. So sign up today (if you haven’t already) at www.croftonconnect.ca.
Together we can inspire, celebrate, thank and encourage each other through these challenging times.
Our community regularly comes together to honour our traditions and celebrate special occasions like the School’s Birthday, Alumnae Achievement Awards, the Winter Bazaar, the Carol Service and class reunions. Due to COVID-19, all in person events are currently on hold. We are working to transform as many events virtually as much as possible. Keep connected for updates to come or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions.
Alumnae Achievement Awards
The Crofton House School community celebrates three outstanding CHS alumnae through the presentation of the Alumnae Achievement Awards.
Share Your Notes in The Ivy Magazine!
Crofton House is pleased to announce the relaunch of The Ivy Magazine. We are inviting all alumnae to send us any news they would like to see published in The Ivy. This could include professional achievements, personal or congratulatory announcements (such as new family members, engagements or marriages) and/or any other news you may wish to share with the community.
Calling all classes ending in 1 and 6 – this is the year for your 5 or 10-year reunion! Due to Covid-19, all in person events are currently on hold. We are working to transform as many events virtually as possible – including your class reunions! We are happy to support you virtually. For more information on planning your virtual reunion, including class lists, please contact Alumnae Relations at email@example.com
