Kelly obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University and went on to work in banking and communications. She now works for herself as a communications consultant, largely in the not-for-profit sector. Kelly is a proud “alum mum”, with two alum daughters (Class of 2023 and 2021) and one other daughter attending Crofton House.

Her fondest memories of CHS include the House Play Competitions, suntanning on Kent “Beach” and Latin classes with Mrs Harrison–Caecilius est in horto!

Sonya has an MBA majoring in International Marketing from European University (now EU Business School), and a BA in Modern Languages (German, Spanish and Japanese) from McGill. Having worked in Japan, Europe and North America, Sonya has over 25 years of experience in market development and communications in logistics, information technology, forestry and architecture. Sonya is an alum mum with one daughter (Class of 2024).

Her fondest memories at CHS - all the wonderful teachers with their passions and quirks, lunchtime in the greenhouse with Ms. Mackay, sports and lots of laughing. 

Tien Tien graduated with a BSc in biological sciences from Stanford University but then pivoted to finance, eventually earning an MBA from the Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. She worked on Wall Street, then spent several years in Shanghai before moving home to raise her children in Vancouver. She is a twelve year girl and an alum mum of two Crofties (classes of 2032 and 2036).

Fond memories include playing in the woods in the junior school and student assemblies in the senior school.

After graduating from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Arts, Ashley started her career in the not-for-profit sector. She later obtained an MBA from UBC's Sauder School of Business, and moved to London, England, to work in management consulting. She has since returned to Vancouver, working with her family business, Major Rock Corporation, owners of the Rocky Mountaineer. Ashley's daughter is part of Crofton's Class of 2034, and she also has two sons. 

Her fondest memories at CHS include the Outdoor Ed program, school plays and making lifelong friends.

Darcy graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Following her degree, she worked in wealth management in Toronto before returning to Vancouver to obtain her CPA designation. Darcy articled and worked at PwC in the audit practice for five years before moving to Vancity Savings Credit Union where she is currently the Director of Finance Projects. Darcy has a daughter at Crofton in the class of 2034 as well as two sons. Her fondest memories of Crofton are outdoor education, field hockey, and playing in the woods.

Sarah graduated from UBC with a BA in Art History and a BEd the following year. She moved overseas and taught at several international schools in Hong Kong. While teaching abroad, she earned her Masters in Curriculum and Teaching from Michigan State University. She was actively involved in running events and raising money for local HK NGO's and ran the CIS School Fair for four years. After 23 years away, she has returned to Vancouver with her family. She has two children and her daughter attends CHS.

Her fondest memories of CHS include the assemblies where students and teachers would dress up and impersonate each other. It was so fun to see staff and students laughing together. Special shout out to Mrs Abakhan, Mrs Reid and, of course, Nancy Moore ’74.

Erin graduated from Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, QC, with a BA (Hons) in English Literature and Geography. She then returned to Vancouver and obtained an MA and PhD in English Literature from UBC. Erin’s research specialty is 18th-century British Literature, particularly didactic and culinary writing. Erin has been teaching post-secondary English literature, academic writing, and technical and professional writing since 2006 at BCIT, UBC, and Langara College. She has been teaching at Langara College since 2015, and loves the small class sizes and student engagement. Voted most likely to be a Crofton mom in her grade 12 yearbook, Erin has a daughter in the class of 2035. Her fondest memories of CHS are choir and school plays, accelerated math class hijinks, and the school trip to the Cook Islands.

Haley graduated from Carleton University where she completed her BA(Hons) degree in law. She moved to England to complete her LLB and attended Cambridge University for her Masters of Law (LLM). After practising for a number of years at the Treasury Solicitor’s Department in England, she returned to Vancouver where she worked in health policy and promotion before returning to her law career. Haley is an alum mum with both her daughters attending the senior school at Crofton.

Haley’s fondest memories of Crofton include participating house plays, the French exchange to Albertville,  competing on the tennis team and performing skits in Farrell Hall. 

Madlene graduated from UBC with a degree in Civil Engineering and worked for the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development before going back to school for her MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. On her return to Vancouver, she joined the family business, Canada Scaffold Supply, as Chief Financial Officer. Madlene is a proud “alum mum”, with one daughter attending Crofton House.

Her fondest memories of CHS are playing in The Woods, climbing the horse tree and listening to Miss Begg during morning assemblies—she was the greatest storyteller!

Alison attended Duke University on a full athletic scholarship for rowing where she earned a degree in Art History. After University, Alison worked in London and Milan for several years building experience in high end design and management, after which she returned to Vancouver to build her event planning company, Sagar International Events. 

Alison is a Crofton “Lifer” and her fondest memories of CHS include playing “shop” in the forest, Challenge 10, and kayaking in Mexico. Many of her closest friends are fellow Crofton alumnae.

Jennifer obtained an Arts degree from University of British Columbia (UBC), with a focus in Asian studies and Japanese language, before working for the BC Government. Jennifer returned to school to obtain a teaching degree and eventually taught in the Social Studies Department at Crofton House. Jennifer has two alum daughters (Class of 2019 and 2017).

Her fondest memories of CHS include playing on the tennis and badminton teams with St. George’s and travelling to all the competitions—and of course, the fabulous friendships with the class of 1984!
