Students Participate at VMUN

Sixty-two CHS students participated in the three-day Vancouver Model United Nations Conference. Students spent an engaging weekend discussing solutions for problems such as the weaponization of space, the environmental repercussions of fracking, the negative ramifications of urbanization, and child soldiers. The girls showed exemplary skills in debating points, forming alliances, and creating solutions for their issues. Ellen L. and Emily N. won best delegate awards, Maia P. and Mary W. won honourable mention, and Clare K., Kelsi L., Asha P., and Bridget Y. won awards for best research.
