1898 Alumnae Newsletter

Crofton House School has a rich tradition in field hockey with many alumnae continuing their passion for the sport beyond graduation, whether for fun or in more competitive environments. In December, this legacy came to life as five CHS alumnae participated in the inaugural Pan American Continental Cup Masters Field Hockey tournament held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

As they start considering their career after CHS, Grade 11 and 12 students have the opportunity to explore different vocations through the Work Experience Program. The program is an additional opportunity for students that supplements the Career Education curriculum. It offers 20 hours of work experience for students who are matched with a program supporter, including CHS alumnae, working in a field of their interest.

Akarty Dhesi ’21, Head Girl, shares with us her commencement address from the Class of 2021 graduation ceremony this past June. Akarty has attended Crofton since Grade 8 and was heavily involved in the theatre and improv program. She is an aspiring writer. One of her goals in life is to introduce more diversity in literature and uplift marginalized voices in writing. Akarty will be attending UBC Sauder School of Business in the fall.
