Power of Partnerships
The proceeds from the 2024 Winter Bazaar supported the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre and Women Leaders of Tomorrow.
Through reciprocal relationships with these organizations, the CHS community supports their important work to positively impact the lives of women and girls locally and globally. In turn, the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre and Women Leaders of Tomorrow support our students by providing important opportunities for purposeful learning, including through Ivy Days in the Senior School’s Ivy Compass Program and the Grade 12 Legacy Project. The School’s connection with Women Leaders of Tomorrow has also allowed us to welcome four students from Afghanistan to CHS to complete their high school education.
Getting to Know our Partners
Over the past decade, proceeds from the Winter Bazaar have supported various local community organizations in the important work they do, in particular with children and women. These partnerships have grown beyond financial support to include student learning and volunteer opportunities, collection drives, and the use of CHS facilities by partners.
Looking Back
A look back at some of our previous community partners.
"The CHS community’s unwavering dedication over the past seven years has meant the world to us and has made a very significant impact on the work we do to make a positive difference in the lives of those children we serve. We are immensely grateful.” Jennifer Petersen, Executive Director, KidSafe Project
