Partner Selection

At Crofton House School, collaboration with external organizations is a long-standing tradition—one that enriches student learning and strengthens our ties with the wider community.

Since 1944, the Winter Bazaar has partnered with a range of organizations, from the Junior Red Cross during World War II to more recent collaborations with KidSafe, Women Leaders of Tomorrow, and the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre.

To ensure our partnerships are meaningful and aligned with our strategic vision, Thriving in Possibility., the School has established guiding principles rooted in learning, reciprocity, sustainability, diversity, and agency.

Last year, we invited proposals for a new community partner (or partners) for the Winter Bazaar from 2025 to 2028. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who submitted thoughtful proposals and to the CHS Partnership Advisory Group—comprised of students, parents, staff, and alumnae—for their careful review and dedication to our core values.

We are excited to announce our selected community partners: the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre and Backpack Buddies. We look forward to working with them not only as Winter Bazaar partners but also in creating rich, ongoing student learning opportunities.

We are also actively exploring additional ways to engage with other proposed, current, and potential partners—seeking collaborations that foster deep and lasting impact for all involved.
