Board of Governors

The Board of Governors of Crofton House School is a group of dedicated, capable and willing individuals who volunteer their time and expertise. They share a love of the School, a deep commitment to its vision and an appreciation of the value of an extraordinary education for young women. The composition of the Board reflects the balance of expertise and perspectives needed to achieve the mission of the School. To this end, each Board member gives generously of his or her time, expertise and resources, and sits on up to two Board committees, depending on areas of interest.

Volunteering on the Board

There is a minimum of 14 and a maximum of 18 board members, 12 of whom are elected by the members of the Society (the parents of the School, and Board members). Elected members may serve up to three consecutive three-year terms. To ensure continuity and institutional memory, at each Annual General Meeting, four elected members retire and four new members are elected. Up to four additional members may be appointed for a one-year term. The Chairs of the Crofton House School Alumnae Association and Parents Auxiliary sit on the Board during their respective terms of office. The Head of the School also sits on the Board of Governors.
