Be inspired! Award winning broadcaster, Vicki Gabereau hosts the 3rd annual Crofton House School Alumnae Association Inspiring Women event on Wednesday, April 17 at Crofton House School.
Join us for a fun evening as three exceptional Alumnae share their experiences and insights - Tessa Cherniavsky '75, a registered massage therapist; Elena Juatco '03, an award winning actress, singer and performer; and Lana Sutherland '86, the founder and CEO of 'T', a luxury tea company.

Vicki Gabereau, Host
Vicki Gabereau is one of Canada's best interviewers. She has won three Actra Awards, a Gemini Award, and is in the Broadcast Hall of Fame. Vicki's national CBC Radio program, Gabereau, was on the airwaves from 1986 to 1997 and established her as the master of the long-format interview. Soon thereafter, she made the leap to television as the host of CTV's live variety/talk show, Gabereau Live!, which wrapped in 2005 after eight successful seasons. Vicki has published an autobiography, This Won't Hurt a Bit, and a cookbook collecting some of her favourite recipes sent in by her CBC radio listeners. She now makes regular appearances on the Knowledge Network for its fundraising.
Tessa Cherniavsky '75
Tessa is a registered massage therapist with a massage and Breema therapy practice in Vancouver. She is trained in bodywork techniques from a variety of cultures that support and enhance relaxation and well-being. Tessa's focus of work is with elders, people living with cancer, and those in palliative care.
Elena Juatco '03
Elena is an award winning actress, singer and performer and one of Canada's most versatile and electric young performers. Toronto is currently her home, but Vancouver audiences will remember Elena best from her Jessie Award-winning performance as Christine Colgate in the Vancouver Playhouse's production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Most recently, she starred as the late Buddy Holly's wife in the Arts Club's production of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. Elena has also made small appearances in film and TV. She was a top 6 finalist in Season 2 of Canadian Idol and has been a roving CTV entertainment reporter.
Lana Sutherland '86
Lana is the founder and CEO of"T", a luxury tea company that custom blends hundreds of teas for a number of Michelin starred restaurants and virtually all of the top luxury hotel chains in over 30 countries worldwide. Lana founded the company in 1994 and since the company's inception she has grown and developed the brand, which today is recognized in her industry as one of the premier luxury tea companies. Lana has recently been asked, along with a number of global business leaders, to join the Google Innovation Lab, a global think tank.
