What unique programs can my daughter expect?

The educational skills required to succeed in the 21st century have led to the introduction of several new initiatives at CHS in recent years.

The One-to-One Program ensures that all learners are comfortable using technology and have developed skills necessary for success in today’s world: communication, creativity, problem solving, collaboration, and responsibility. Each student in the senior school receives a MacBook Air for her exclusive use both at school and at home.

The Ivy Compass is a learning framework, focusing on local and global issues for women, that recognizes and responds to the idea that education today is happening beyond the classroom. Throughout the year students work with their advisors to set goals, make action plans, and reflect on their personal growth. This provides them with the opportunity to consciously consolidate and celebrate the learning they do in school. The framework is organized through the four cardinal points of the compass: North (New Horizons), East (Experiential Education), South (Service Learning), and West (World Citizenship).

When will I find out if my daughter has been admitted?

Applicants for grade 8 will be notified in January. Applicants for grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 will be contacted as space becomes available. If no space becomes available, we will add your daughter’s name to our waiting pool of candidates.
